Pacific Terrace Hotel

Sometimes it’s nice to get away and stay in a small, privately owned boutique hotel and this is one of those.  The staff were extremely attentive and helpful to our requests and there seemed to be a high ratio of staff to guests.

The hotel sits on a bluff above an amazing, white sandy beach where the surfers do there funky stuff.  The pool is a reasonable size and great for children and there’s a hot tub to enjoy those beautiful warm San Diego evenings.

There are plenty of great quality restaurants nearby and the boardwalk is just a couple of blocks away.  Here, you can rent bikes and cruise along the beachfront.

The rooms at the hotel are all cozy with a “Tommy Bahamas” feel to them.  Each room has a 42” TV and the hotel offers movie rentals and Nintendo games.  Each of the 73 rooms and suites also opens out onto a private balcony most of them with spectacular beach and ocean views
