Been there once on “specials” night which I think was a Wednesday.  They had a fixed menu for something like $45 per person and it was absolutely fantastic.

If you go A La Carte, I hear it can get a bit pricey but if you want the best in Whistler, you probably won’t go wrong at the Rimrock.

You said it Roy, the Rimrock is the place to go if you want the finest in Whistler dining. That being said, as far as bang for big buck (since so many Whistler restaurants are not afraid to charge), this one really delivers.  Even their washrooms offer something good: a history lesson on The Rimrock’s storied past.

Indeed, the best time to go to any restaurant in Whistler is during “shoulder season” when one can try elaborate menus at a fixed (reasonable) price, with enough room in the dinner budget for some good (decent) wine.

The Rimrock never fails to impress.  Make sure you have reservations well in advance during the busy seasons and on weekends.  Not much to look at from the outside, but rustically beautiful inside.  Note the photo above is of the Gorge and not the Rimrock!
