Cioppino’s Mediterranean Grill and Enoteca

Multi-award winning restaurant and chef.  Pino runs his ship to perfection with an iron, but fair fist.  Food is prepared to the highest standards and consistency is incredible.  Celestino is the perfect frontman who never forgets your name or face.  Wait staff are numerous and talented, but never too intrusive.  Daily specials sometimes rival the printed menu in volume.  Wine list is Wine Spectator world class in both quality and number of selections.  The Sommelier, Massimo, is extremely knowledgable, helpful and conscious to your stated budget.  Private rooms in all sizes available for parties, presentations and privacy.  Atmosphere is always buzzing, but never at an overwhelming volume.  Tips: can be expensive, but sticking to the printed menu versus the specials and finding a reasonably priced bottle of wine will keep the budget conscious quite happy.  Pasta’s are among the best you will find worldwide.  Treat yourself to the Chestnut and Porcini Mushroom Soup (indescribably good) and the 4-hour Braised Veal Cheek Pappardelle (or Wild Boar Garganelli)  and you will have one of the best meals in the world for a very reasonable cost.  The Sablefish is other-worldly.  Another tip:  since it is packed most every night, make reservations well ahead of time.  If you don’t have a reservation, there is a ‘bar’ seating almost always available.  Open Monday to Saturday for dinner only.  Nice patio in the summer.  ***Transparency alert: My family is part-owners of this restaurant, although we are not involved in it’s daily operation.***
