Description:

Located in a house along a beautiful country road, this play group is for babies to age three.  The toys are all new, clean, and non-toxic.  It runs every Tuesday from 10-11:30 am and is free.  Moms and babies tend to gather upstairs and the toddlers go downstairs where there is a little more room.  Snacks are provided and each group ends with circle time.  This is a favorite for our toddler.  Too bad it’s just once a week.  Gabi, the group leader is wonderful.

The IDP program offers other services as well.  They are a home-based, early intervention service for children from birth to three years of age who are delayed or show risk of delay in one or more skill areas, or who have been diagnosed with a disability. Consultants work with parents to develop a program of activities to encourage the development of physical, social, and cognitive skills. Service includes developmental assessments, play groups, and a toy, video, and book library. Open referral. Funded by MCFD. Serves Birken, D’Arcy, Mount Currie, Pemberton, and Whistler.
